LCF Lantau Wetland Ecological Education and Outreach Program - Tertiary Student Ecological Investigator Training for Marsh habitat

The community environmental education activities of this project will begin with the “Tertiary Student Ecological Investigator Training”. The selected local tertiary students will deepen their understanding of the ecology and biodiversity of the wetlands in Lantau, and learn wetland survey methods and techniques. After completing the tasks and passing the assessment, they will be qualified to be citizen scientists. They will then put their knowledge into practice in subsequent activities, such as the marsh aquatic beetle survey, providing baseline data on the aquatic beetle diversity in Lantau and making a contribution to local ecological conservation.
